Two Armed Robbers Who Were Caught By The Elderly In Duren Sawit Were Finally Arrested

JAKARTA - The Criminal Investigation Unit of the Duren Sawit Police managed to arrest two sadistic robbers who had pointed a firearm at an elderly resident of the house on Jalan Padat Karya 2, Duren Sawit District, East Jakarta.

"Two suspects were arrested, with the initials AD and BD. They have been investigated, currently they are still developing further," said Duren Sawit Police Chief, Kompol Sutikno when confirmed, Wednesday, September 10, 2025.

The other two perpetrators are still fugitives, the police continue to hunt down the two perpetrators. Including tracing the whereabouts of the firearms used by the perpetrators to point at the occupants of the house.

"When they were secured they were found that the tools to carry out the action, we had not found any information on firearms. God willing, we will carry out further investigations," he said.

Currently, the police have also collected 5 witnesses who were examined, including reporting witnesses and victims.

"We will develop it further later," he said.

Meanwhile, the identities of the two fugitives have been pocketed by the police. Both are still being hunted by members of the Criminal Investigation Agency of the Duren Sawit Police.

"Our appeal is that the residents of the palm oil duren are traveling from their homes, hopefully I will communicate with local residents, entrust the head of the RT/RW and be grateful to inform us that we always control it when the house is left," he said.

Previously, it was reported that a gang of robbers was caught on CCTV cameras while in action at a house on Jalan Padat Karya 2, Duren Sawit District, East Jakarta.

In the CCTV footage, the perpetrators, totaling 4 people, came using motorbikes together. The perpetrator also had time to monitor the situation of the house.

After being safe enough, they then launched their actions with each of the different roles. Two perpetrators entered the victim's house, while the other two sat on a motorbike and monitored the vicinity of the house.

Meanwhile, two perpetrators who managed to break into the victim's house tried to damage the CCTV camera installed in front of the victim's house.

Then the perpetrator entered by destroying the door and rumbering the victim's room and cupboard to look for valuables.

What a surprise the perpetrator was when their action was caught by a grandmother who was previously in a different room.

The perpetrators then pointed firearms and sharp weapons at the grandmother, threatening to kill her if she resisted and screamed.
