Hypertension Detection Features Coming To Old Apple Watch

JAKARTA Apple will expand the presence of hypertension detection features or high blood pressure measurements to more smartwatches. The good news is, this feature will be coming to the old version of Apple Watch.

This feature comes to the Apple Watch Series 11 and Ultra 3, both smartwatches that Apple has just launched. Fortunately, not only the two Apple Watches will get advanced hypertension detection features from Apple.

Launching from Apple Insider, older watch models such as the Apple Watch Series 9, Apple Watch Series 10, and Apple Watch Ultra 2 will get this feature. This is possible thanks to improved processor processing and data correlations.

However, the launch of this feature has not been approved by the US Food and Drug Agency (FDA). Therefore, this health feature is expected to be launched at the end of September or October.

Unfortunately, Apple Watch SE 3 won't get this feature. The device doesn't have a qualified processor or sensor to support hypertension detection. At least, this device still offers interesting features.

Apple Watch SE 3 will get very useful health features. Apple will launch a new Sleep Score feature on the wearable device, just like any other Apple Watch that has a sleep tracking feature.

The new Apple Watch models with this new feature will be distributed on 19 September. The watchOS 26 update will be released on September 15 with many new features for all compatible models.
