Bolttech Partners With Auto Indonesia Harmony

JAKARTA - The bolttech, a rapidly growing global insurtech company, is in partnership with China's leading automotive Harmony 'distributor' which focuses on premium, luxury, and new energy vehicles. Through this collaboration, the two of them launched a series of special insurance solutions for BYD electric vehicle owners marketed through the Harmony Auto distribution network.

The launch in Indonesia marks a continued collaboration between Harmony Auto and the boldtech, which builds on the success of their partnerships in Singapore and Hong Kong. This initiative presents innovative protection solutions for safety-oriented consumers, more than just traditional vehicle insurance.

By combining bolttech expertise in embedded insurance and technology with customer focus as well as Harmony Auto market reach, this collaboration aims to bring greater value to these key markets.

The insurance plan, which is available in all BYD Harmony Auto showrooms in Indonesia, aims to make ownership of electric vehicles more secure and accessible. This is in line with Auto's commitment to innovation, sustainability, and customer-centric solutions. Harmony Auto customers can choose protection with various special benefits for electric vehicles, personal protection, and wider risk coverage compared to general motor vehicle insurance.

This strategic partnership affirms Harmony Auto's commitment to supporting the Indonesian government in encouraging the adoption of electric vehicles, with the target of presenting 2 million electric cars and 13 million two-wheeled electric vehicles by 2030. This effort is realized through reducing ownership risk and ensuring drivers gain access to reliable protection from the first day.

Suwandy, Country Head of BYD & Denza Harmony Auto said, by integrating the pengettech insurance offer into the course of customer electric vehicle ownership, it provides more than just vehicles, but also calm of mind, comfort, and confidence on the road.

Customers can choose between two packages: comprehensive and total loss only (TLO). These two options are available for new vehicles with a maximum coverage value of up to IDR 1.5 billion, and offer a variety of benefits that exceed standard motor vehicle insurance.

- EV special services: Both packages include 24-7 on-road emergency assistance, compensation for battery and home charger damage, ambulance support, replacement of taxi costs, as well as protection for electric vehicle wheels and tires.

- Focus on safety and well-being: Protection coverage including self-accident insurance for drivers and passengers (up to IDR 50 million per person, according to the number of passenger seats), third party responsibility (up to IDR 50 million), passenger legal responsibility, and medical expenses (limited to 10% of the benefits of self-accination).

- Extended protection: Policyholders who choose comprehensive packages will get protection against natural disasters (Acts of God), riots, terrorism, and the responsibility of third parties, thus providing confidence and protection in various driving conditions.
