Meet Private Gas Manager, Director General Of Oil And Gas ESDM Make Sure There Are No Additional Fuel Imports

JAKARTA - The Directorate General of Oil and Gas (Ditjen Migas) of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) emphasized that there are no additional imports of fuel oil (BBM) for private public gas station (SPBU) managers, such as Shell, BP, and Vivo.

Just so you know, recently several private fuel providers experienced a shortage of fuel supply.

Director General of Oil and Gas Laode Sulaiman said the meeting that took place today was not to increase imports but to synchronize import data with PT Pertamina (Persero).

"Nothing. Synchronization (imports) with Pertamina," said Laode, Tuesday, September 9.

For this reason, Laode asked Shell, BP-AKR, and Vivo to absorb imports of fuel from Pertamina as directed by the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Bahlil Lahadalia.

Laode also emphasized that the quality of fuel from Pertamina was in accordance with the specifications set by the Directorate General of Oil and Gas so that it could be absorbed by private gas stations.

"So, this (quality) has been regulated, there should be no issue with the specifications," he said.

He said that actually the government had provided an additional 10 percent import quota from the 2025 quota.

"It is hoped that private business entities can take advantage of this excess volume to distribute their gasoline fuel, gasoline," he said.
