Tour De Ente Turangga Bike Racing In NTT, Police Deploy 4,309 Personnel
The East Nusa Tenggara Regional Police (Polda NTT) has alerted 4,309 personnel to secure the Tour de Ente Turangga 2025 international bicycle racing event which will take place 10-21 September on three large islands of NTT.
This security operation involves thousands of Polri personnel who are supported by the TNI and related agencies. All must work professionally, humanely, and responsibly so that the event runs safely and successfully," said NTT Police Chief Inspector General Pol Rudi Darmoko in Kupang, Tuesday.
This was conveyed by him after leading an troop deployment attended by the Irwasda Polda NTT Kombes Pol Murry Miranda, the main officials of the NTT Police, as well as the line of operations control officers from all Polres and Polresta Kupang Kota.
Tour de Entete 2025 covers a distance of approximately 1,500 kilometers across the islands of Timor, Sumba, and Flores. This event is attended by racers from various countries so that it requires strict and integrated security.
The NTT Regional Police, he said, had formed seven task forces (tasks) namely the Preemptive, Preventive Task Force, Kamseltibcar Lalu, Tindak, Gakkum, Humas, and Banops to ensure the operation was carried out effectively throughout the region.
The Kapolda emphasized that the geographical factors of hilly NTT, prone to landslides, floods, and volcanic activity are serious challenges that personnel must anticipate in the field.
"Although our natural conditions are difficult, the National Police must be able to provide a sense of security and comfort for participants, officials, committees, and the community. Our presence is the best service form of the country," he said.
In addition, the Kapolda provides five important directions to personnel, namely high discipline, prioritizing safety, solid coordination, showing a humanist attitude, and maintaining Indonesia's good name in the eyes of the world.
