Business Opportunities For The Wide Open EBT Sector, The Company Starts Turning To Clean Energy
JAKARTA - Director of PT Reliance Sekuritas Indonesia Tbk Reza Priyambada said that although the development of the New and Renewable Energy (EBT) business in Indonesia is relatively new, this initiative has been widely adopted by a number of companies.
According to him, this shows that more and more companies are starting to realize the importance of using renewable energy and reducing emissions from their operational activities.
In the future, he estimates that the use of EBT will continue to increase gradually and companies providing EBT have the potential to be an alternative solution for other companies that require environmentally friendly energy for their operations.
"In the future, of course, what we will see is the development carried out to the target market share because it will be related to its performance," he told VOI, Tuesday, September 9.
He gave an example, such as PT Pertamina Geothermal Energy Tbk (PGEO) which produces geothermal energy as an energy source that is more environmentally friendly than other energy sources that have a contribution of 672 MW or the equivalent of 26.7 percent of the capacity of nationally installed geothermal plants.

In addition to PGEO, he explained that there is also Barito Renewables Energy Tbk (BREN), which has contributed to an installed capacity of around 886 MW, or about 35.2 percent of the total capacity of the national Geothermal Power Plant (PLTP) of 2.5 GW.
"This means that the EBT business has good business prospects, however, it must also be supported by the expansion of the market share," he said.
