Safer And Comfortable, Subaru Forester Is Now Equipped With Jok Ergonomics And Emergency Stopping Systems

JAKARTA Loss of concentration is one of the main factors causing road accidents. Data from the United States National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) even mentions that only by being distracted for four seconds while driving 100 km/hour, the car can move more than 100 meters without control.

Realizing how dangerous the situation is, Subaru presents the Emergency Stop Assist feature on New Forester, as part of the latest generation Subaru EyeSight technology that is integrated with Driver Monitoring System (DMS).

This smart feature works to detect the condition of the driver whether he doesn't respond to the steering, eyes close, or doesn't input within a certain period of time. When that happens, the system will take over by providing voice and visual warnings, stopping the car automatically on the side of the road, and turning on the hazard light to warn other road users.

Not only focusing on active safety, Subaru also pays attention to the comfort side. This Japanese manufacturer provides a New Forester with Medical Ergonomic Seat which is developed with medical institutions in Japan. This Jok is designed with a scientific approach to support the pelvic and lower back, reduces pressure on the neck and waist, maintains posture, and minimizes feeling sore during long trips.

For drivers who often travel long distances, this feature becomes added value because it not only provides maximum comfort, but also supports spinal health.

More than just a vehicle, Subaru wants to present the car as a traveling partner who cares about its users. In the midst of the trend of automotive digitization, Subaru still emphasizes the main essence: human safety and comfort.

"For Subaru, safety and comfort are top priorities. Emergency Stop Assist and anti-chess seat are a form of our commitment to providing technology that is truly beneficial for drivers and passengers," said Subaru Indonesia Chief Executive Officer Arie Christopher, in his official statement, Tuesday, September 9.

The Emergency Stop Assist and Medical Ergonomic Seat features are available on specific models, including The All-New Subaru Forester.
