Nuno Bettencourt To Steven Tyler Pays Respect To Ozzy Osbourne At VMAs

JAKARTA - The MTV VMA 2025 event paid tribute to the legend, Ozzy Osbourne. A number of musicians participated in the special performance.

Rock legends such as Nuno Bettencourt from Extreme, Steven Tyler and Joe Perry from Aerosmith, Yungblud and Adam Wakeman keyboardist Ozzy sang together for the Prince of Darkness on Sunday, September 7 at the UBS Arena.

Before the rockers took action, footage of Ozzy's video from time to time was played on the screen. There was also a message from Jack Osbourne, the son, who was honored for this tribute.

"I'm sure he will be very happy to see these great musicians continue his legacy and help inspire the next generation of rockers. I want to pay special tribute to Dom [Yungblud], Nuno, Steve, and Joe from Aerosmith. We love Dad," said Jack in the video.

Yungblud, Bettencourt and Wakeman opened their action with a cover of Ozzy's Crazy Train song. They also embed part of Black Sabbath's song Changes.

Not long after, it was Aerosmith's turn to show off. Steven and Perry first went on stage to perform Mama I'm Coming Home. Then the complete personnel of Aerosmith were present at the second verse of the song, becoming an interesting surprise for the audience. Yungblud joined this song, with the background of the stage design typical of Ozzy Osbourne.

At the end of appearance, Ozzy 'appears' in the video to say thank you. "Good night, thank you everyone. God bless," he said in the video version.
