Replace Karding, Minister Of P2MI Mukhtarudin Promises To Carry Out Presidential Astacita

JAKARTA - Minister of Protection of Indonesian Migrant Workers (P2MI)/Head of the Indonesian Migrant Workers Protection Agency (BP2MI) Mukhtarudin stated that he was ready to carry out President Prabowo Subianto's Astacita vision as well as possible.

"I will carry out my duties well, as well as possible according to the direction of the President, of course the President's Astacita, the government that we must carry out as well as possible in the period 2025-2029," he said while giving a press statement at the Presidential Palace complex, Jakarta, Monday, September 8.

Mukhtarudin said President Prabowo had not given him a detailed task. However, he stressed that Asta Cita of President Prabowo's government must be carried out as well as possible considering that the protection of migrant workers is a big job that must be considered.

The man who previously served as a member of the DPR said that the initial agenda after he was inaugurated was friendship and introduction to the internal ministry.

According to him, the program that has been run by the previous minister will be continued as long as it is in line with the President's vision.

"Yes, of course, the programs that have been implemented by the previous Minister will certainly be continued in line with the President's Asta Cita, yes. I don't think there are more specific things," he said.

Mukhtarudin also expressed his gratitude to President Prabowo for giving him the mandate to carry out his duties as Minister of P2MI.

Regarding the reason for the change, he said it was the authority of the President.

"This is the prerogative of the President. I am normal in government. It's normal," he said.

President Prabowo inaugurated Mukhtarudin as Minister of Protection for Indonesian Migrant Workers (P2MI)/Head of the Indonesian Migrant Workers Protection Agency (BP2MI), at the State Palace, Jakarta, Monday replacing Abdul Kadir Karding, who previously served as the position.

It is known that Mukhtarudin previously served as Secretary of the Golkar Party faction of the DPR RI.

The inauguration was carried out based on the Presidential Decree (Keppres) of the Republic of Indonesia Number 86P of 2025 concerning the Dismissal and Appointment of the Ministers and Deputy Ministers of State of the Red and White Cabinet for the 2024 '2029 Period on September 8, 2025.
