Anindya Bakrie Hopes That Purbaya Yudhi Sadives Will Maintain Indonesia's Economic Stability

JAKARTA - The Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin) hopes that the new Minister of Finance (Menkeu) Purbaya Yudhi Sadives can maintain economic stability so that economic growth can be achieved.

"The point is I see that the Minister of Finance who just has the most important task is to maintain stability, so that with that stability growth can be achieved," said Chairman of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Anindya Bakrie in Jakarta, quoted by Antara, Monday, September 8.

Anindya invites all parties to give the new Minister of Finance the opportunity to work and analyze it first.

"From the business world, of course, we hope for stability. And we also support the government's program so that growth can bounce back. Because if we look at the growth, 5.12 percent is good in the second quarter but it must be continued," he said.

Meanwhile, programs for government spending or spending from the government are being improved in the second half. Thus, the Ministry of Finance under the leadership of the Minister of Finance can also balance all of that.

In addition, from domestic consumption, of course, we hope that there will be an increase. From what Kadin saw in the regions in the third quarter, it seems that domestic consumption has started to move. Maybe because some efficiency has been reduced so that there is also a lot of movement in the field.

"And this is what Kadin focuses on how the Provincial, Regency, City Kadin can support government programs while also moving the local economy, both with the Free Nutrition Food (MBG) program, with People's Business Credit (KUR) and later the Red and White Village Cooperatives and others," said Anindya.

Furthermore, Kadin also hopes that the Ministry of Investment and the Ministry of Finance can work together to show that Indonesia is safe, competitive, and open to the business world.

Purbaya Yudhi Sadive was officially appointed by the President of the Republic of Indonesia Prabowo Subianto as Minister of Finance (Menkeu) replacing Sri Mulyani Indrawati.

Before being trusted to lead the Ministry of Finance, he served as Chairman of the Board of Commissioners (DK) of the Deposit Insurance Corporation (LPS) since September 3, 2020 through Presidential Decree No. 58/M of 2020.

The man who was born in 1964 studied undergraduate in the field of Electric Engineering at the Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB).
