Encourage Digital Economy, Idea Says Harbolnas 2025 Is Proof Of Cross-Sectoral Collaboration

JAKARTA - Chairman of the idea (Indonesian E-Commerce Association) Hilmi Adrianto said that the 2025 National Online Shopping Day (Harbolnas) is a clear proof of the close collaboration between the government, industry, and business actors in encouraging Indonesia's economic growth towards a more inclusive and sustainable digital era.

"Where the national campaign for Harbolnas 2025 will be themed Expressing Cinta Nusantara. This campaign is a call to strengthen our shared love and commitment to the progress of the nation's economy, especially through empowering MSME actors, local business actors, local brands, and strengthening the digital ecosystem that can reach all levels of society throughout the archipelago," he said in the kick off road to Harbolnas 2025, Monday, September 8.

Hilmi said that Harbolnas' 2024 achievement recorded a transaction value of IDR 31.2 trillion, even though it was carried out in the midst of various challenges.

He added that this achievement figure not only emphasizes the extraordinary potential of Indonesia's digital economy, but also shows Harbolnas' strategic role as a driver of national economic growth.

"With commitment and hard work together, we are optimistic that this achievement can increase by at least 10 percent this year as an indicator of success, collaboration, and symmetry that we continue to improve," added Hilmi.

He also emphasized that the current challenges of the digital economy cannot be faced individually, so it is necessary to cooperate with all e-commerce actors who continue to innovate, business actors who consistently improve product quality, to collective efforts to encourage people's purchasing power.

Hilmi said that as part of the Road to Harbolnas 2025 series, idEA will hold various inclusive and comprehensive programs from September to December, in the form of a national-scale roadshow aimed at increasing the capacity and competitiveness of business actors.

Not only that, he said that idEA will also present offline bazaars as a means of direct interaction between business actors and consumers so that they can increase public confidence in local products and expand the market for MSMEs and Indonesian local brands.

He emphasized that the success of digital economic transformation is impossible without a collective contribution.

"Harbolnas and Road to Harbolnas are clear evidence that cross-sectoral collaboration can have a broad and sustainable positive impact on the national economy," he said.

Hilmi invites all parties to make this momentum the first step in building a national digital ecosystem that is increasingly resilient, innovative, and competitive.

"Together we declare our love for the archipelago by moving the wheels of the digital economy for the sake of prosperity. I hope today's kick-off goal is an invitation to embrace all parties, all supporting partners to take this momentum, take a bigger role in supporting Harbolnas, and invite all business participants to immediately join the entire series of Harbolnas activities as much as possible," he explained.
