The Palace Regarding Sri Mulyani Being Reshuffled: Not Removed, Not Resigning
JAKARTA - Cabinet Secretary Minister (Menseskab) Prasetyo Hadi denied that Sri Mulyani was removed or resigned from her position as minister of finance. The cabinet reshuffle decision is said to be based on the evaluation of President Prabowo Subianto.
"Yes (Sri Mulyani, ed) is not resigning, not being removed. The president as the head of state and head of government, he has prerogative, based on his evaluation he made changes," said Pras at the State Palace complex, Jakarta, Monday, September 8, 2025.
Even so, he did not reveal the exact reason why Prabowo would replace the person in the position of minister of finance. The Gerindra Party politician believes that the decision is the best.
"There are many considerations, right? This is (prerogative, red) the president. Bismillah, what is the president's decision," said Pras.

Meanwhile, regarding the absence of the minister of youth and sports to replace Dito Ariotedjo, the appointed person was unable to attend because he was out of town so he would be rescheduled.
"The menpora replacement happens to be in a position outside the city unable to take part in the inauguration this afternoon. The Ministry of Youth and Sports will be scheduled for the next inauguration process," he said.
It is known that President Prabowo Subianto inaugurated four ministers. Among them are Minister of Finance Purbaya Yudhi Sadive, Minister of Protection for Indonesian Migrant Workers Muktahhrudin, Minister of Cooperatives Ferry Julianto, and Minister of Hajj and Umrah Irfan Yusuf, as well as Deputy Minister of Hajj and Umrah Dahnil Anzar.
Previously, Prabowo dismissed a number of ministers in the Red and White Cabinet. Those who were dismissed were Minister of Political and Security Coordinating Minister Budi Gunawan, Minister of Finance Sri Mulyani, Minister of Protection for Indonesian Migrant Workers Abdul Kadir Karding, Minister of Cooperatives Budi Arie Setiadi and Minister of Youth and Sports Dito Ariotedjo.
