JAKARTA - The RI-Malaysia Border Security Task Force (Satgas Pamtas) Yonarhanud 1/PBC Kostrad thwarted the smuggling of about 63 kilograms of methamphetamine in the Entikong border area, Sanggau Regency, West Kalimantan (West Kalimantan).

"This success is a tangible manifestation of the TNI's commitment to supporting total war programs against drugs, especially in border areas," said Dankolakops Korem 121/Abw, Brigadier General Purnomosidi, at the Korem Representative Command Headquarters 121/Abw Pontianak, Monday, which was confiscated by Antara.

He emphasized that this effort was an important achievement at the beginning of the assignment period of the Pamtas Task Force Yonarhanud 1/PBC Kostrad in West Kalimantan.

From the results of the operation, the Pamta Task Force secured a suspected perpetrator who was carrying the illicit goods using a four-wheeled vehicle through the Entikong border route.

The narcotics that were secured consisted of methamphetamine and drugs in the form of an electric POD as many as 199 packages, which were referred to as a new mode of smuggling into Indonesian territory.

"Thank you to all Pamtas Task Force soldiers for their struggle. Keep hitting, never back down, continue the struggle," he said.

The success of disclosing this case cannot be separated from the synergy of public information gathering and the intelligence work of the Yonarhanud 1/PBC Kostrad Task Force, so that cross-border smuggling efforts can be thwarted.
