Budi Arie On Cabinet Reshuffle News This Afternoon: That's The President's Prerogative Right, We Take Care Of The People
JAKARTA - Minister of Cooperatives Budi Arie Setiadi, responded to reports of a reshuffle of the ranks of ministers or a cabinet reshuffle that President Prabowo Subianto will carry out this afternoon. As a minister, Budi emphasized that he would not take care of the prerogative of the president.
"That is the prerogative of the president," said Budi Arie at the DPR building, Jakarta, Monday, September 8.
Budi also admitted that he had not heard the news, because he was focusing on taking care of the people.
"Not yet. We just work to take care of the people. Focus on taking care of the people," he said.
Asked if he would go to the palace after a meeting at the DPR, Budi said there was no information on him asking cabinet ministers to gather.
"No, there has been no notification. Why? Anyway, everything is the prerogative of the president. We focus on taking care of the people," he said.
Previously, President Prabowo Subianto was rumored to be replacing a number of ministers this afternoon. The news of this cabinet reshuffle strengthened again after President Prabowo had stated that nothing could not be replaced.
Prabowo also asked all government officials to work properly according to their respective duties.
"In Indonesia, I will tell you, there is no one cannot be replaced, no one cannot be replaced, including the President of the Republic of Indonesia if I don't really. No one can't be replaced," Prabowo said at ICE BSD, Tangerang, Thursday, August 28.
