Bus Group Of Karate Athletes Accident On Padang 'Sicincin Toll Road, 2 Killed, Dozens Injured
PARIAMAN - Regional Police (Polda) West Sumatra (West Sumatra) said there had been an accident experienced by an ALS tourism bus at the exit of the Padang-Sincin Toll Road on Sunday 7 September at around 23.30 WIB.
"There has been an accident in the Padang-Sicincin toll road area last night, now it is being handled by the Padang Pariaman Police," said Traffic Director of the West Sumatra Police, Kombes Pol HM Reza Chairul Akbar Sidiq, quoted by ANTARA, Monday, September 8.
He said the unfortunate accident was now under further investigation by police traffic officers.
Reza said that in the tourist bus accident with the police number BK 7444 UA, two victims died, and the data is still temporary because they are still waiting for official developments from the police.
Two victims who died were known to be 17 years old and 11 years old, both of whom were male from North Sumatra (North Sumatra).
The bus reportedly brought a group of karate athletes from the North Sumatra region to participate in a championship or match in Padang City.
But unfortunately the bus had a single accident while crossing the Padang-Sicincin Toll Road, to be precise at the toll exit.
The tourist bus with orange was reported to have lost control while at the scene, causing it to hit a road divider.

The police have not released the latest data on the total number of passengers carried by the tourism bus at the time of the incident, but from the latest data it is known that there are 30 people.
With details of the victims who died as many as two people, while 29 people suffered minor injuries.
Dozens of victims who suffered minor injuries have now been in the nearest hospital for treatment and medical assistance.
