12 People In Buleleng Bali Asked To Turn Around

BULELENG - Police personnel from Buleleng, Bali, prevented dozens of travelers who used boats to cross to Java Island.

Head of Public Relations Police Buleleng, Bali, Iptu Gede Sumarjaya said, his team moved after getting information on the existence of shelters or travelers in homes owned by residents named Samsuri aka Suri. They gathered at Suri's house in Banjar Dinas Teluk Terima, Sumberkelampok Village, Buleleng Regency, Bali.

"Yes, will go home through the rat crossing route by boat with the aim to Java Island, Buleleng Water Police unit in charge of the Teluk Terima post accompanied by Regional Police directly to Samsuri's house", said Iptu Sumarjaya, Wednesday, May 12.

The 12 travelers are known to gather on Tuesday, May 11 at around 20:30 WITA. There are 10 adults and 2 children as well as 5 motorcycles.

"The 12 people will carry out a homecoming to Java which is planned to cross by boat", he added.

The police with a persuasive approach asked them not to homecoming. The travelers were asked to return to Denpasar.

"They want to homecoming by a fishing boat and not through the pier, through the people's port, and go to Java. Confession (Samsuri) is not paid just help. No, there is a crackdown on Samsuri just a reprimand so as not to help people homecoming", said Iptu Sumarjaya.
