Google Officially Announces Gemini App Usage Limits
JAKARTA - Google has finally revealed official usage limits for the Gemini app. In the latest announcement, the tech giant detailed what users can access on free and paid packages. Previously, users could only guess because there was no detailed information about usage restrictions. Now, Google provides a much clearer picture of the capabilities of each package.
The Gemini app offers three service levels: free packets, Google AI Pro, and Google AI Ultra. Free packages are designed to provide optimal experience with daily usage limits. Meanwhile, two paid packages that are also connected to certain Google One subscriptions provide much greater access for text creation, images, videos, and advanced features such as Deep Think and Deep Research.
For Free packages, users can access up to 5 prompts per day using the Gemini 2.5 Pro model, create up to 100 images per day, and get 20 audio overviews. Specifically for the Deep Research feature, free users can only make 5 reports per month and only use the Gemini Flash model.

While Google AI Ultra is intended for users who really need maximum capabilities. With this package, users get up to 500 prompts per day with the 2.5 Pro model, access to a special Deep Think reasoning model of up to 10 prompts per day, create up to 5 videos per day with the latest Veo 3 model, and an extraordinary capacity of 200 Deep Research reports per day.
Google also emphasizes that other features such as Canvas, Gems, and others are 'generally available to most users'. However, the company warns that this limit can change at any time, especially for free users if the service capacity is congested.
With this announcement, users now have clearer guidance on what they can expect from the experience of using Gemini either free or paid.
