Investigate The Mastermind Behind The Riots, The National Police Collaborates With The TNI-BIN

JAKARTA - National Police Chief Listyo Sigit Prabowo stated that he would cooperate with the TNI and the State Intelligence Agency (BIN) to reveal the mastermind behind the riots that occurred some time ago.

Currently, the deepening process is still being carried out. Collecting evidence and clues to get a series of facts.

"We will work together later with friends from the TNI, from BAIS, from BIN and all elements that can be a source of information so that then we can complete it," Sigit told reporters quoted on Monday, September 8.

Not only that, Sigit said the National Police was open to input or information from all parties. With many clues, the handling process will be faster and clearer.

"We support all input information which of course can make us currently implement it, it can really be bright," he said.

Apart from the investigation into the masterminds of the riots, Sigit emphasized that one of the most important things is to continue to maintain Indonesia's security stability.

"And most importantly, how in the future we will maintain the condition of the nation so that it can be maintained properly. That's why Indonesia can carry out development, can prosper its people," said Sigit.

Previously, it was reported that the National Police had recorded 3,195 people being detained in various areas related to the riots that occurred during the period 25 to 31 August 2025. This number will continue to grow along with the development of the handling process.

Karo Penmas, Police Public Relations Division, Brigadier General Trunoyudo Wisnu Andiko, confirmed this matter. Thousands of people were arrested in 15 Polda.

"That's right, based on data from the regional police," Trunoyudo told VOI, Monday, September 1.

Based on the data, of the thousands of people, 387 of them have been sent home. Meanwhile, 2,753 are still in the process of being investigated.

In addition, 55 people have been named as suspects in the riots. However, it has not been explained about the crime they committed.
