Police Call Sherina Munaf In The Aftermath Of Uya Kuya Cat Uploads With Thin Body

Musician Sherina Munaf will be summoned by the East Jakarta Metro Police regarding her uploads on social media regarding the evacuation of a cat belonging to an inactive member of the Indonesian Parliament, Surya Uya Kuya.

East Jakarta Metro Police Chief Kombes Alfian Nurrizal said his party sent a clarification summons on Monday, September 8, 2025.

"We sent a summons today. So this call is not an examination, but only clarification, it really doesn't have Uya Kuya," said Kombes Alfian when confirmed.

According to Alfian, the clarification is important because the information circulating states that the cat belonged to Uya Kuya, who was allegedly looted during the looting of her house some time ago.

"East Jakarta Police want to clarify, because it can also be evidence. Is it true the results of the looting or not, we don't know yet," he said.

Therefore, certainty regarding the truth of the information can only be obtained through direct information from Sherina.

"Later on, we just want to try clarifying. Because that's the information for Uya Kuya's cat, whether or not we don't know. To know that we have to clarify," he said.

The summons of Sherina Munaf was in the aftermath of her upload regarding the rescue of Uya Kuya's cat named Lili which had been found.

"One of the cats from Uya Kuya's house was detained and overnight I and @indiradiandra have coordinated directly with the rescuer. This morning they were picked up and now the cat is in a safe position, I'm focusing. This is only one of the possible 16-20 cats that were predicted at that location," wrote Sherina.

Sherina also described the condition of Uya Kuya's alleged cat.

"Condition: very thin, the bones feel really bad when they are stuck in their bodies. For pet owners, please help ADOPT don't SHOP as much as possible, sterile the cat, kl can't be cared for, don't care for it," wrote Sherina's upload.

Just so you know, the East Jakarta Metro Police have recently named 12 suspects in connection with the rioting case at Uya Kuya's house. The 12 suspects acted as provocateurs, perpetrators of looting and assaults on officers.
