Pertamina Ensures Fuel Supply In Bengkulu Is Safe, Queues At Gas Stations Are Immediately Decomposed
BENGKULU - Pertamina Patra Niaga ensured that the supply of fuel oil (BBM) for the Bengkulu area was safe, although there had been queues of vehicles at a number of public gas stations (SPBU).
Executive General Manager (GM) of Pertamina Patra Niaga Regional Sumbagsel Erwin Dwiyanto emphasized that the issues circulating on social media related to the Baai Island Fuel Terminal (FT) could not receive fuel cargo due to the silting of the port flow being incorrect.
"Fuel Terminal Baai Island can still receive fuel cargo via ship, although it is not yet fully capacity due to the ship's draft limit according to the provisions of KSOP," Erwin said in Bengkulu, Antara, Sunday, September 7.
According to Erwin, the distribution of fuel to gas stations in Bengkulu is currently still supported by FT Lubuklinggau and IT Teluk Kabung with a portion of around 50'60 percent.
He admitted that there were long queues of four-wheeled vehicles at five gas stations in Bengkulu City, namely at Bumi Ayu gas stations, Km 6.5, Kandang, Pagar Dewa, and Km 8.
"The stock of Pertalite at gas stations in Bengkulu City is relatively sufficient. However, the increase in demand and issues circulating on social media have triggered some consumers to make excessive purchases," said Erwin.
To break the queue, Pertamina added Pertalite's supply to gas stations whose stock was running low and operating gas stations for 24 hours. In addition, Pertamina also coordinates with local governments and law enforcement officials to maintain the smooth distribution of fuel.
