UMI "Reset" Morals And Morals Thousands Of Maba Through Pesantren Week
MAKASSAR - Indonesian Muslim University (UMI) reset or renewed morals and morals of thousands of new students (where) through the pesantren week at the Darul Mukhlisin Islamic Boarding School, Padanglampe, Pangkep Regency, South Sulawesi, 4-18 September 2025.
UMI Chancellor Prof. Hambali Thalib in Pangkep, Saturday, said that the pesantren week was part of the introduction of the campus environment to new students with different spectral concepts.
"In this short Islamic boarding school activity, all students were only given materials ranging from the introduction related to UMI to the religious approach as capital when entering campus," he said.

As with activities in Islamic boarding schools, thousands of UMI swabs focus on strengthening religious knowledge by carrying out congregational prayers, tahajjud prayers, d bettera prayers, reading the Koran and dhikr.
He explained that this activity, which in general focuses on improving character, mentality and morals, cannot be separated from the vision and mission of UMI as an educational and da'wah institution.
Meanwhile, the Chairman of YW UMI, Prof. Masrurah, said that the initial idea of implementing a flash pesantren as a substitute for the suspicion was carried out to keep students from becoming victims, as happened in the implementation of the inspection a few years ago.
UMI, he said, always tries to do something that benefits more than harm, including in campus recognition activities.
"We consider which ones have more benefits than the disadvantages. After we evaluate, it turns out that the implementation of pesantren is better in moral and moral education," he said.
Thousands of new students took turns participating in this activity until September 18. The first group was followed by maba from the Faculty of Medicine, Faculty of Dental Medicine and Faculty of Agriculture on September 4-6.
Furthermore, followed by the Faculty of Computer Sciences, Fisheries, Pharmacy (6), Faculty of Industrial Engineering (8-10), Faculty of Economics and Business, Faculty of Public Health (10-12), Faculty of Law (12-14), Faculty of Engineering, Faculty of Literature (14-16), and Faculty of Religion and Faculty of Pharmacy on 16 to 18 September 2025.
