Italy Goes Crazy! Estonia Slaughtered 5-0 In World Cup Qualifiers
JAKARTA - The Italian national team scored two consecutive wins in Group I of the European zone 2026 World Cup Qualification after beating Estonia with a score of 5-0 at Gewiss Stadium, Bergamo, Saturday, September 5 in the morning WIB.
Previously in the group, Italy beat Moldova with a score of 2-0, in June 2025.
Quoted from the UEFA page in Jakarta, Italy was able to land Estonia thanks to goals from Moise Kean, Mateo Retegui (two goals), Giacomo Raspadori and Alessandro Bastoni.
With these positive results, Italy is still in third place in Group I standings with six points from three matches, while Estonia is still stuck in fourth place with three points from five matches.
In that match, Italy statistically took the lead over Estonia with 67 percent possession and fired 40 attempted shots of which 13 were on target.
Italy took the initiative to attack first and threatened Estonia several times, but nothing resulted in a goal.
Gli Azzuri had time to create an opportunity through a kick released by Mattia Zaccagni which Estonian goalkeeper Karl Hein still stopped.
Towards the end of the first half, Italy had a golden opportunity to take the lead through Mateo Retegui's header, but was saved again by Karl Hein so that the score was goalless in the first half.
Entering the second half, Italy again demonstrated an attacking game and was able to gain the advantage through a goal scored by Moise Kean after receiving Retegui's pass so that the score changed to 1-0 in the 58th minute.
Italy was able to double the lead in the 69th minute through a goal scored by Retegui after using Giacomo Raspadori's pass so that the score changed to 2-0.
Just two minutes later, Italy could add their lead to 3-0 after a pass from Matteo Politano was met by Giacomo Raspadori's header that broke into Estonia's goal.

Towards the end of the match, Italy managed to increase the advantage to 5-0 after the cross from Raspadori was converted into a goal by Alessandro Bastoni, precisely in the 90+2 minute. The score lasted until the game was over.
