Deputy Of Commission VI DPR: All Factions Agree That Home Allowances Are Abolished
Deputy Chairman of Commission VI of the Indonesian House of Representatives from West Sumatra Province (West Sumatra) Andre Rosiade said that all factions in Senayan agreed that housing allowances for DPR members were abolished after protests submitted by the public in recent times.
"The results of yesterday's decision are that all factions agree that the home allowances have been abolished," said Deputy Chairman of Commission VI of the Indonesian House of Representatives, Andre Rosiade, as reported by ANTARA, Friday, September 5.
In addition to removing housing allowances for council members, Andre said that all factions also agreed to conduct a moratorium on work visits outside the country and agreed to the transformation so that the DPR RI would be better in serving the community.
"Meanwhile, these other things are being decided by the leadership of the DPR RI," he said.
Andre added that the DPR together with other government and state institutions will try to meet and carry out demands voiced by students or the public in general.
