Markets To Malls In Kelapa Gading Had Quiet Visitors To The Impact Of Mass Chaos In Jakarta, Police: Now It's Normal

JAKARTA - The impact of the riots carried out by a group of mobs in Jakarta a few days ago, had created markets and malls in the Kelapa Gading area, North Jakarta, which was quiet from visitors.

"While on patrol, I asked the officers there. Indeed, they admitted that yesterday the shopping had decreased slightly, but now it has returned to normal," said Head of Samapta Kelapa Gading Police, Iptu Aris Siswanto to reporters, Friday, September 2025.

His party also continues to patrol economic centers in the Kelapa Gading area during the day and at night with the Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the Kelapa Gading Police, AKP Kiki Tanlim.

Iptu Aris said the patrol was in order to guard Jakarta and in accordance with the direction of Kelapa Gading Police Chief, Kompol Seto Handoko.

Previously, residents of Kelapa Gading, he continued, were a little afraid to come to the market and mall. Residents were worried and to prevent unwanted things from happening.

"Afraid, rather than risk. Safety reasons too," said Iptu Aris.

Iptu Aris also asked the public not to worry anymore and entrust all to the police in maintaining conduciveness in the region according to the direction of the leadership.

"The current situation in the Kelapa Gading area after yesterday's demonstration, thank God it is safe to be conducive. For now, we will see the situation first, which is clear that we are currently conducting day and night patrols with three pillars and also assisted by elements of society," he said.
