Ebiet G. Ade And Iwan Fals' Response To The Collaboration Of The Song 'Lindu Titip Buat Ayah'

JAKARTA - Two Indonesian folk music legends, Ebiet G. Ade and Iwan Fals, re-introduced the song 'Tititip Rindu Buat Ayah' as a joint collaboration work.

The project full of meaning initiated by Musica Studios is presented in a collaboration that unites their long journey in the music world.

Meanwhile, Tip Rindu Buat Ayah was first introduced by Ebiet, who is also the author of labu-in 1980.

But in the latest version, this song presents a deeper emotional feel. The presence of Iwan Fals' voice in it feels like a dialogue between two old friends who respect each other's respective works.

This song has a very personal meaning because it was born from my deep longing for my parents. Since junior high school, I have had to separate from them for school, and that feeling of longing is what I put in this song," said Ebiet G Ade in his statement, September 5.

On the other hand, Iwan actually felt grateful for his collaboration with Ebiet, but jokingly.

"I joked with Mas Ebiet, this collaboration is like the width of the forehead because our hair has run out together," said Iwan.

"I'm really grateful to be able to meet him in this duet. Thank God, I'm also still given health to sing together," he added.

For information, the new version of 'Lindu Create Ayah' from Ebiet G. Ade and Iwan Fals will also be displayed at the 2025 Pestopora event.
