After The Chaotic Demo, Airlangga Hartarto: The Economy Remains Stable

Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto attended a limited meeting with President Prabowo Subianto and a number of ministers at the State Palace, Jakarta, Thursday, September 4.

According to Airlangga, after a chaotic demonstration some time ago, the Indonesian economy was relatively stable. This can be seen from the rupiah exchange rate against the US dollar in the range of Rp. 16,400 per US dollar.

Then on a micro basis, during the post-event, the market stock also fell relatively thin, then it rebounded again.

According to Airlangga Hartarto, the government is also preparing steps to prevent potential mass layoffs (PBK).
