Paris Jackson Reveals The Reason For Not Wanting To Be Involved In His Father's Biopics

JAKARTA - Paris Jackson does not want to be related to the biopic about his father, Michael Jackson. This statement was made days after actor Colman Domingo claimed Paris helped the production a lot.

Colman Domingo was interviewed about his interaction with Paris Jackson while attending a charity event in Venice on August 31. Later, he was asked about Michael Jackson's son's reaction to the film.

"We had a chat, but his younger brother (Prince) really liked the film. He is also a film producer. Paris is very sweet and warm to us," Colman Domingo quoted People as saying.

Paris Jackson then made an Instagram Story upload on his personal account discussing a biopic titled Michael, starring his cousin, Jaafar Jackson as Michael Jackson.

In his upload, Paris admitted to reading the first script and providing notes on what could be made and not.

"Writing notes about what I think is dishonest or inappropriate and when they don't talk about it, I go on with my life. It's none of my business, God killed me," wrote Paris Jackson.

"I met (Colman Domingo) twice, one at a birthday party, one at an amfar charity event, and all interactions were brief," he said.

Furthermore, Paris Jackson feels biopic about celebrities and musicians often bring subjectivity to how to view this figure.

They will make whatever they want to make. The reason why I never talked (about biopics) until now is because I know you will be happy with it," Paris said.

The film will present something to fans of my father who are still living in fantasy and they will be very happy. The thing about biopics is Hollywood and it's not a fantasy world, but it's sold to you as if it's real with spices, controlled narratives," he continued.

There are many things that are inaccurate and full lies. In the end, it doesn't fit into me. I don't like being dishonest. Fans may like it, so just watch it, enjoy it or whatever, don't bring me around," concluded Paris Jackson.

He also answered accusations by netizens that he hated Michael Jackson who died at the age of 50.

Many people say 'He hates his father. He has a grudge' but I'm not a producer who fills everything with inaccurate things. That's not my truth. I just choose to be honest over sales and economic benefits. That's all. I don't want to do anything with the film," he said.

Michael's film is still going through the shooting process and is planned to hit theaters on April 24, 2026.
