DKI DPRD Will Follow Up Demands For Dharma Jaya BUMD Audit
JAKARTA - Deputy Chairman of the DKI Jakarta DPRD, Basri Baco, admitted that his party would follow up on the demands of the mass demonstrations from the Social Democracy Concerned Student Alliance.
One of his demands is to audit financial management of regional-owned enterprises (BUMD), especially Perumda Dharma Jaya.
Baco admitted that he would ask DKI Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung to evaluate the performance of BUMD. This was revealed by Baco during an audience with the masses who held a demonstration on Jalan Kebon Sirih.
"I make sure that we will make the results of this meeting as a recommendation to the Governor of DKI Jakarta to conduct a thorough evaluation of all existing BUMDs, to make them more transparent in handling finances and others. Especially regarding Dharma Jaya," said Baco at the DKI Jakarta DPRD building, Thursday, September 4.
Representing members of the DKI Jakarta DPRD, Baco is grateful for the mass warning of the action to the council to improve their supervisory function of BUMD performance.
"The regional-owned enterprises, their duties, business businesses are usually looking for profit, but they also have other tasks, namely services. So because of the service, they must be maximized," said Baco.
In addition, Baco admitted that he would also grant the demands of the mass action to reduce the nominal housing allowance they receive every month.
Where, the amount of housing allowances for the leadership and members of the DKI Jakarta DPRD is stated in the Decree of the Governor of DKI Jakarta Number 415 of 2022. This gubernatorial decree was signed by former DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan.
In Kepgub 415/2022, it is stipulated that the housing allowance for the leadership of the DKI Jakarta DPRD is IDR 78.8 million per month, including taxes. Meanwhile, the housing allowance for DKI Jakarta DPRD members is IDR 70.4 million, including taxes every month.
Baco admitted that he understood the public's concerns that demanded council members to be more concerned and understand the economic conditions of the people they represent.
"We really appreciate that we are representatives of the people elected by the people who should accept the aspirations of the people," Baco explained.
