Champions League Player Registration Completed, Premier League Top Club Reshuffle Shocking
JAKARTA - Gabriel Jesus, Mathys Tel, and Federico Chiesa are among 25 players absent from their respective club squads for the 2025/2026 Champions League.
Jesus has been out of action since January 2025 after undergoing knee surgery and has yet to appear for the club this season.
Meanwhile, Arsenal have included sensational teenager Max Dowman into the squad after his stunning performance in the Premier League this season.
The 15-year-old made his second-youngest debut in the Premier League after coming off the bench in Arsenal's win over Leeds United (23 August 2025) and appearing in their defeat to Liverpool last weekend.

In north London, Tottenham Hotspur manager Thomas Frank has chosen not to include Tel in the Champions League squad. The forward was Frank's first signing, after his loan status from Bayern Munich was permanent in the summer.
Other Spurs new players this summer, Xavi Simons, Joao Palhinha, Mohammed Kudus, and Randal Kolo Muani, have all been included.
Shifting to Merseyside, Liverpool Manager Arne Slot, previously said that Chiesa is very different this season.
However, he did not include the Italian player in the Champions League squad. The coach prefers Liverpool's young star, Rio Ngumoha, who scored a dramatic victory goal against Newcastle United.
Then, Manchester City have put four goalkeepers into the squad containing 25 players, including new players James Trafford and Gianluigi Donnarumma.
Lastly, Chelsea did not include Raheem Sterling in the squad, as did new player Federico Buonanotte.
