Uya Kuya Chooses A Peaceful Road With Suspected Looting Of Her House
JAKARTA - Member of the Indonesian House of Representatives and celebrity, Uya Kuya, had the opportunity to meet one of the alleged perpetrators who looted her house some time ago.
Uya said that the perpetrator was a woman who worked as a parking attendant. Allegedly, the mother who has a grandson with disabilities has taken her room cooler.
"It turns out that there is an alleged perpetrator, mother, older than me who brought AC in the house, indoor air conditioner, I met him, with police colleagues here too, the condition is that this mother is also a parking attendant, and her grandson is also silent, disabled, her husband is also a parking attendant, he lives with his children and grandchildren," said Uya Kuya at the East Jakarta Police, Wednesday, September 3.
After knowing the condition of the alleged perpetrator's life, Uya Kuya took the initiative to propose restorative justice, which is an approach to resolve legal conflicts by holding mediation between the victim and the perpetrator.
Uya reasoned that he did not want to prolong the problem and wanted to solve it quickly.

"I took the initiative, I proposed restorative justice. So I asked if there could be a restorative justice method, he said it could be, the alleged perpetrator or me as a victim," said Uya Kuya.
"But I immediately as a victim, I first proposed, for this mother I will restore justice so that it is not brought to the next stage, until here," he continued.
When asked about forgiveness, Uya Kuya could only comment if she was sincere with the items taken, including those taken by the mother.
"I said I was sincere. The mother also said she just came, said, heard that someone saw my house, then went there, saw that AC was lying, she herself said she didn't know what this was," he concluded.
