Luxury House In Citra Garden Kalideres Burned, 2 People Died

JAKARTA - Two people died in a house fire in the Citra Garden 8 area, Pegadungan Village, Kalideres, West Jakarta, Thursday morning at around 05.04 WIB.

"Two victims (killed) were found on the 2nd floor of the house. The first victim was in the bathroom, on behalf of Abun (50), the second victim in the bedroom, on behalf of Arianto (20)," said Head of the Operations Section of the West Jakarta Fire and Rescue Service (Gulkarmat), Syarifudin, quoted from ANTARA, Thursday, September 4.

Syarif said residents had tried to extinguish the fire, but the fire spread.

"Residents have tried to extinguish it with 5 tubes of light fire extinguishers (APAR), but the fire has started to spread. The victim was found after officers carried out the cooling process," he said.

Syarif explained, his party deployed 75 personnel with 15 fire engines to extinguish the fire that hit the 2nd floor house with an area of about 60 square meters.

Losses due to the fire are estimated at Rp305,640,000.
