JCI On The First Day Of Fasting Was Opened, Weakened By 0.16 Percent To 4,586.11

JAKARTA - The Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) opened lower in trading Friday, April 24. JCI opened slightly lower by 0.16 percent or 7.45 points to 4,586.11 levels.

Opening trades, 17 stocks rose, 33 stocks fell, and 23 stocks remained stagnant. The trading volume was recorded at 4.90 million shares and was traded at Rp2.92 billion.

Reliance Sekuritas Indonesia analyst Lanjar Nafi also predicts the JCI will move higher. Technically, the index this weekend will move at the support and resistance levels at 4,560 to 4,780.

In his opinion, investors will monitor United States' jobless claims as a new milestone in the impact of the coronavirus, with the average expectation of 4.5 million new applicants.

US Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin said he would anticipate a large part of the economy which will restart at the end of August. In addition, the US economy is expected to revive itself after the US Senate approved an additional stimulus package worth 500 billion US dollars.

The stimulus focuses on helping small and medium enterprises in dealing with the impact of the corona virus pandemic (COVID-19). However, investors will continue to monitor the development of the corona pandemic on the world economy.

From these sentiments, he also recommended a number of selected stocks that investors could look out for, namely PT Adaro Energy Tbk (ADRO), PT Aneka Tambang Tbk (ANTM), PT Astra International Tbk (ASII), PT Bank Mandiri Tbk (BMRI), PT Bumi. This morning, stocks that were among the top gainers included, PT Surya Esa Perkasa Tbk (ESSA) which rose 7.38 percent to Rp160, PT Trinitan Metals and Minerals Tbk (PURE) which rose 4.85 percent to Rp108. and PT Elnusa Tbk (ELSA) which strengthened 2.51 percent to Rp204.

While stocks that are in the top losers ranks include PT Puradelta Lestari Tbk (DMAS) which fell 6.99 percent to Rp173, PT Kresna Graha Investama Tbk (KREN) which fell 6.33 percent to Rp148, and PT Bank Pembangunan Regional West Java Tbk (BJBR) which weakened 3.17 percent to Rp915.
