Autopsy Of The Ministry Of Foreign Affairs Diplomat's Body Has Been Carried Out, Families Moved To Safe Places

JAKARTA - The Indonesian Embassy in Lima continues to oversee the process of handling the shooting case of Indonesian diplomat Zetro Leonardo Purba, with the autopsy process being carried out and the return process is expected to be carried out this week, while his family is moved to a safer place.

The Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed the death of Kanselerai KBRI Lima Zetro Leonardo Purba. Vahd revealed that the Peru Police were making various efforts, collecting evidence, securing surveillance camera footage from the scene to coordinating with the local prosecutor's office.

"The Indonesian Embassy in Lima has submitted a diplomatic note to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to request that the process of handling this case get great attention," he said as quoted on September 4.

He further explained that the Indonesian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sugiono, had communicated directly with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Peru, Elmer Schialer, to encourage the investigation process to run transparently, quickly and thoroughly, including up to the stage of returning the bodies.

"The autopsy process has been carried out on September 2, it is hoped that the return of the bodies can be carried out this week," said Vahd.

"The Indonesian Embassy in Lima pays high attention to the families of the victims, including by moving their homes to safer locations, receiving supervision and security by the local police," he added.

Vahd added, during the process of handling this case, the Indonesian Embassy Lima service remained open and running as usual by taking into account the development of the situation.
