After A Long Wait, Instagram Is Now Present On The IPad

JAKARTA - After a long wait, Meta has finally officially launched Instagram on the iPad, presenting a new experience optimized for the big screen, including the redesign of the latest Reels and Following tabs features.

"Many people have been asking for it for a long time, and we have designed an experience that optimizes Instagram's favorite features for larger screens," Meta wrote in its announcement.

In the iPad version, users will be greeted immediately with Reels as soon as they open the app. Stories continue to appear at the top, while the message feature can be accessed with just one tap.

In addition, Instagram also introduces a special 'Following' tab that makes it easier for users to follow their favorite accounts.

This tab has three display options: All for all accounts followed, Friends for accounts that follow each other, and Latest for the latest chronological order.

Instagram for the iPad also uses a larger screen to make it more functional. For example, a new layout allows messages and notifications to be accessed more quickly.

Meanwhile, while watching Reels videos, comments can be expanded without reducing the video size, so users can read the best reactions while still enjoying content.

Instagram for the iPad is starting to be released globally on iPad devices with iPadOS 15.1 and above, and can be downloaded for free on the App Store. This new tablet design will also be coming soon on Android.
