KPK Confiscates 18 Lands Covering An Area Of 4.7 Hectares Allegedly Results Of TKA Extortion Money
JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) confiscated dozens of plots of land in the Central Java region allegedly related to the alleged extortion of processing foreign labor permits (TKA) at the Ministry of Manpower. This forced effort was carried out by investigators on Tuesday, September 2.
"Investigators confiscated 18 plots of land with a total area of 4.7 hectares. The confiscated lands are located in Karanganyar, Central Java," said KPK spokesman Budi Prasetyo to reporters in a written statement, Wednesday, September 3.
Budi said the land was purchased with extortion proceeds collected by Haryanto as the former Director General of Manpower Placement and Expansion of Job Opportunities (Binapenta and PKK) of the Ministry of Manpower and staff of the Directorate General of Binapenta and PPK of the Ministry of Manpower Jamal Shodiqin. The ownership of the assets was then disguised using the names of other people.
"The assets in the name of the family and relatives are thought to have been obtained from the money collected by suspects JS and H which he received from TKA agents," he said.
In the future, the anti-corruption commission will trace other assets suspected of being related to this extortion case. "This is needed to prove the case as well as the first step in optimizing asset recovery," said Budi.
"Investigators will continue to track and trace other assets suspected of being related or sourced from the results of this alleged corruption crime," he continued.
Previously reported, the KPK has detained eight suspects in the alleged extortion of foreign worker permits (TKA) at the Ministry of Manpower (Kemnaker) for the 2019-2024 period. Two of them are Suhartono and Haryanto who once served as Director General of Manpower Placement and Expansion of Job Opportunities (Binapenta and PKK) of the Ministry of Manpower.
They are suspected of having participated in the flow of extortion money from foreign workers whose value reached Rp53.7 billion.
Meanwhile, the other suspect is Wisnu Pramono as Director of PPTKA of the Ministry of Manpower; Devi Anggraeni as Coordinator of the PPTKA Feasibility Test for the period 2020-July 2024 then became Director of PPTKA for the period 2024-2025; Gatot Widiartono as Coordinator of Analysis and Control of Foreign Workers The Directorate of Control of the Use of Foreign Workers of the Ministry of Manpower; and Putri Citra Wahyoe, Jamal Shodiqin, and Alfa Eshad who are staff at the Directorate General of Binapenta and PPK.

The following are the details of the receipt of extortion money carried out by the suspects:

Then there was money distributed to almost all employees at the PPTAK Directorate and referred to as two-weekly money. The nominal is said to reach Rp. 8.94 billion.
