Tijjani Reijnders Supports Eliano Reijnders In Persib Uniform

JAKARTA - Persib Bandung officially introduced Eliano Reijnders as their new recruit this season.

The 24-year-old player was signed from the Dutch club, PEC Zwolle, on a two-year contract.

This announcement was made through Persib's official Instagram upload on Sunday (31/8).

Manchester City midfielder, Tijjani Reijnders, Eliano's older brother, also commented on his younger brother's move to Maung Bandung.

In Persib's Instagram upload as reported by Antara on Tuesday (2/9), Tijjani expressed his pride.

"Hello everyone, I'm really proud of my sister Eliano Reijnders having joined Persib Bandung," he said.

He asked for Bobotoh's full support for his younger brother who started a new adventure in Indonesia.

"Please take good care of him, and let's continue this journey," he added.

Eliano, who has more than 100 appearances at the Eredivisie with PEC Zwolle, is expected to strengthen Persib's midfield in the Super League and Asian Champions League.

His move to Indonesia sparked various reactions. Some observers assess that Eliano still has the potential to have a career in Europe, while others positively welcome his steps to join the Bandung club.

Although it has been officially introduced, Eliano has not joined the Persib training session because he is currently serving with the Indonesian national team for the FIFA Matchday September 2025.

His presence is expected to add strategy options for coach Bojan Hodak to enter this season's competition.
