Defendant, Manager Of Judol Website Agent Backed By Kominfo, Sentenced To 4 Years In Prison
JAKARTA - The defendants in the online gambling (judol) management cluster at the Ministry of Communication and Information Technology (Kominfo), Muchlis Nasution and Harry Efendy, were sentenced to four years and eight months in prison each by a judge at the South Jakarta District Court.
"We sentence defendants Muchlis Nasution and Harry Efendy to four years and eight months in prison, respectively," said Judge Parulian Manik during a hearing at the South Jakarta District Court on Tuesday, September 2, as reported by ANTARA.
Both were also sentenced to a fine of Rp 250 million each.
Furthermore, if the defendants fail to pay the fine, they will be replaced with one month in prison each.
"We determine that the periods of arrest and detention already served by each defendant will be deducted entirely from the sentences imposed," he said.
In the judol case involving Kominfo (now the Ministry of Communication and Information Technology/Komdigi) employees, there are four clusters.
The first cluster involved coordinators, with defendants Adhi Kismanto, Zulkarnaen Apriliantony alias Tony, Muhrijan alias Agus, and Alwin Jabarti Kiemas.
The next cluster involved former Ministry of Communication and Information employees, including Denden Imadudin Soleh, Fakhri Dzulfiqar, Riko Rasota Rahmada, Syamsul Arifin, and Yudha Rahman Setiadi.
In addition, Yoga Priyanka Sihombing, Reyga Radika, Muhammad Abindra Putra Tayip N, and Radyka Prima Wicaksana were also indicted.
The next cluster involved managers of online gambling (judol) agents. The defendants were Muchlis, Deny Maryono, Harry Efendy, Helmi Fernando, Bernard alias Otoy, Budianto Salim, Bennihardi, and Ferry alias William alias Acai.
The next cluster involved money laundering (TPPU) cases, including Rajo Emirsyah and Darmawati.
