West Java Governor Invites Students to Dialogue in Gedung Sate Yard Tomorrow
BANDUNG - West Java Governor Dedi Mulyadi stated that the provincial government will open the courtyard of Gedung Sate in Bandung and invite student representatives for a dialogue.
"Tomorrow, the West Java Provincial Government will open a dialogue space for students in West Java to attend the courtyard of Gedung Sate. We will facilitate, listen, and, God willing, we will implement all constructive ideas," Dedi said at Gedung Sate in Bandung on Tuesday.
Dedi said that his administration invited student and academic representatives from 350-420 universities in West Java, primarily from the Greater Bandung, Cimahi, and Jatinangor areas, to discuss their aspirations, as most other regions have already conveyed their aspirations through their local regency and city governments.
"The most important is the Greater Bandung area, because others have also conveyed their aspirations in their regencies and cities. But if you want to visit Gedung Sate, you're welcome to do so," he said.
Padjadjaran University Rector Arief Sjamsulaksan Kartasasmita expressed a positive view of the initiative to open this dialogue, even promising to invite the West Java Regional People's Representative Council (DPRD), which he hopes will provide an opportunity to convey aspirations to government officials.
"Hopefully, this will open up a space for communication and be a very good turning point for us to convey aspirations in a more constructive, cleaner, more substantial, safer, and regulatory-compliant manner," said Arief.
