Android Phones Can Reserve And Restore These Important Settings

JAKARTA - Google is quietly introducing a new update that will make it easier for Android users to maintain the security of their devices. Through a Google Play Services update in September, the Theft Protection setting on Android devices can now be backed up and restored automatically.

Theft protection on Android, which consists of Theft Detection Lock, Offline Device Lock, Remote Lock, and other security features, helps keep the device lost or stolen. Previously, users had to manually reactivate this setting after resetting the factory or when switching to a new phone.

With this update, the Theft Protection settings will also be saved in Android cloud backups. That is, when you recover backups on the same device or device, your safety preferences will return automatically without needing to be reset. If previously the Theft Protection feature was deactivated, then the status will also remain the same after the backup recovery.

Google Play Services has been saving application data, Wi-Fi networks, and various other settings. Now, Theft Protection is part of the list. Even so, this update is not directly available to all users. The launch process will be carried out in stages and will take time to reach all devices.
