15 Cars Owned By Satori Allegedly Related To CSR BI-OJK Corruption Confiscated By KPK

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) confiscated 15 cars belonging to the NasDem Party legislator, Satori, in Cirebon, West Java. This forced effort was carried out in relation to allegations of corruption in Bank Indonesia's Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and the Financial Services Authority (OJK) 2020-2023.

"Since yesterday and today, investigators have confiscated 15 four-wheeled vehicles of various types belonging to brother S," said KPK spokesman Budi Prasetyo to reporters in a written statement, Tuesday, September 2.

The car, continued Budi, was confiscated from a number of locations.

"Some of the showrooms that have been moved to other places," he said.

Budi detailed that the confiscated cars were 3 units of Toyota Fortuner, 2 units of Mitsubishi Pajero, 1 unit of Toyota Camry, 2 units of Honda Brio, 2 units of Toyota Innova, 1 unit of Toyota Yaris, 1 unit of Mitsubishi Xpander, 1 unit of Honda HRV, and 1 unit of Toyota Alphard.

"Investigators will continue to trace other assets that are suspected to be related or are the result of these alleged corruption crimes, which of course are needed in the process of proof and initial steps to optimize asset recovery," explained Budi.

To note, Satori is actually scheduled to be examined as a witness at the KPK's Merah Putih building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta on September 1-2. However, he was not present and will be rescheduled.

Previously reported, the KPK officially announced the legislators of the DPR from the NasDem Party faction, Satori and Heri Gunawan, who are legislators of the DPR from the Gerindra Party faction as suspects in the alleged corruption of BI CSR funds. They are suspected of receiving gratuities and committing money laundering (TPPU).

In this case, Satori allegedly received a total of IDR 12.52 billion. The details are IDR 6.30 billion from BI; IDR 5.14 billion from OJK through Financial Counseling activities; and IDR 1.04 billion from other working partners of Commission XI of the DPR.

The money is allegedly used for personal needs, such as deposits, land purchases, showroom construction, purchases of two-wheeled vehicles, and purchases of other assets.

Meanwhile, Heri Gunawan received a total of Rp15.86 billion and used it also for personal gain. The details are Rp6.26 billion from BI; Rp7.64 billion from OJK through Financial Counseling activities; and Rp1.94 billion from other working partners of Commission XI DPR.

The money is then accommodated in an account. Heri Gunawan then used it to build restaurants, manage drink outlets, purchase land and buildings to purchase four-wheeled vehicles.

The social funds received by the two suspects from BI and OJK were immediately distributed to 4 foundations managed by Rumah Aspirasi Heri Gunawan and 8 foundations managed by Rumah Aspira Satori.
