Interfaith Leaders Ready To Help Government Realize A Sense Of Security
JAKARTA - A number of interfaith figures met with President Prabowo Subianto at the State Palace, Jakarta, Monday, September 1.
The meeting was attended by leaders of large religious organizations, including Nahdlatul Ulama, Communion of Churches in Indonesia, the Indonesian Confucian Religious High Council, Wahdah Islamiyah, and Parisada Hindu Dharma Indonesia.
They agreed to help the government to create a sense of security in society after demonstrations in a number of areas in Indonesia that ended in chaos.
Chairman of the Nahdlatul Ulama (PBNU) Executive Board Yahya Cholil Staquf said that in the meeting with President Prabowo Subianto, a number of aspirations of interfaith leaders were conveyed which were the aspirations of the community.
