Ukrainian Drone Attacks, 320 People Evacuated From Apartment In Russian Rostov

JAKARTA - More than 300 people were evacuated from their apartment last night following a Ukrainian drone attack on the capital of the Rostov region.

Russia's Defense Ministry said the air defense unit destroyed 13 Ukrainian drones in the Rostov region overnight. The ministry did not specify how many drones were detected.

"A bomb (unmanned plane) that has not exploded was found in one of the apartments," said Acting Governor of the Rostov Region, Yuri Slyusar, via the Telegram messaging application.

"As a precaution, 320 occupants of the building were evacuated," he continued.

Ukrainian drone attacks damaged several apartment buildings in the city of Rostov-on-Don. Three people, including a child, suffered minor injuries.

Rostov-on-Don Mayor, Alexandr Skryabin, said residents were evacuated to schools while bomb disposal experts were cleaning up bomb debris.
