Champions League Final Schedule, Manchester City vs Chelsea, Who Is The Winner?

JAKARTA - Two English teams, Manchester City and Chelsea will face each other at the 2020-2021 Champions League final on May 30.

Manchester City reached its inaugural Champions League final after beating Paris Saint-Germain, who again had to settle for a 10-man tie, 2-0 in the second leg of the semi-final at the Etihad Stadium in Manchester, England, Tuesday local time.

Riyad Mahrez, who scored one goal in the first leg, again showed his sharpness by scoring twice in City's second leg.

The result saw City progress to the Champions League final with a 4-1 aggregate win over PSG.

Within a day, Chelsea eliminated Real Madrid from the Semi-finals of the Champions League to challenge Manchester City in the third All-English Final of the competition.

In the second leg of the semi-final at Stamford Bridge in London, England, Wednesday local time, Chelsea won convincingly with a 2–0 win over Zinedine Zidane's men.

Goals from Timo Werner and Mason Mount saw Chelsea qualify for the final with a 3–1 aggregate win over Los Blancos.

The Champions League final is scheduled to take place at Istanbul's Ataturk Olympic Stadium on May 29.

Threatened without the audience of both camps

There's less ominous news for supporters of both sides. Local supporters of Manchester City and Chelsea are threatened with not being able to attend the 2020-2021 Champions League decider.

Because the British government is currently implementing a ban on flying to Turkey because of the high risk of exposure to COVID-19 in Recep Tayyip Erdogan's country.

In recent weeks Turkey has ranked fourth in daily cases of COVID-19, which has led local authorities to impose a nationwide lockdown until May 17, Antara reported from Reuters on Thursday.

The move was enough to reduce daily COVID-19 cases to below 27 thousand on Wednesday, May 5, half as little as the peak figure above 63 thousand per day in mid-April.

From the Turkish government, there are no rules that will complicate the arrival of British supporters there, after the elimination of the requirement to have a negative result of COVID-19 tests for British citizens entering Turkey since May 15.
