JAKARTA - Actress and wife of East Java Deputy Governor Emil Dardak, Arumi Bachsin, provided an update on her family after her husband's office, the Grahadi Building in Surabaya, was targeted by a mob.
Arumi Bachsin confirmed that her family is doing well.
"Bismillahirrahmanirrahim. Peace be upon you. Friends, family, relatives, and all the people, especially our beloved East Javanese. Thank you for your prayers, attention, and the messages you have received. Alhamdulillah, our family is currently doing well," wrote Arumi Bachsin, as quoted by VOI from her Instagram account @arumibachsin_94, Tuesday, September 2.
On this occasion, Arumi Bachsin asked Surabaya residents to continue to look after one another during these challenging times.
"Let's work together to ensure that our immediate family and surrounding community remain safe," wrote Arumi Bachsin.
"Let's work together to protect ourselves, maintain the stability, and peace of our beloved East Java province," wrote Arumi.
Furthermore, Arumi also reminded residents to preserve their cultural heritage, as the Grahadi State Building in Surabaya is a historic building from the Dutch colonial era.
"Together, let's protect this priceless historical and cultural heritage asset. Because even though buildings can be repaired, history and stories are irreplaceable," said Arumi.
Previously, the Grahadi Building on Jalan Gubernur Suryo, Surabaya, East Java, was the target of a mob arson attack on Saturday, August 30th, due to dissatisfaction with several policies of the Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR RI).
