Gojek Now Owns Almost 5 Percent Stake In Hypermart Management Owned By Conglomerate Mochtar Riady, Matahari Putra Prima

JAKARTA - PT Matahari Putra Prima Tbk has new shareholders. PT Aplikasi Karya Anak Bangsa aka Gojek through its subsidiary PT Pradipta Darpa Bangsa, now officially took part in becoming the owner of the hypermart outlet management shares.

Quoted from the disclosure of information on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) page, Wednesday, May 12, MPPA's controlling shareholder, PT Multipolar Tbk (MLPL) explained, MLPL relinquished several shares in MPPA. And one of the buyers is PT Pradipta Darpa Bangsa.

Multipolar Director Agus Arismunandar said that the company has conducted a transaction to release MPPA shares totaling 11.9 percent to 3 buyers, namely PT Pradipa Darpa Bangsa, Panbridge Investment Ltd., and Threadmore Capital Ltd.

"The Company has conducted the sale of MPPA shares on April 6, 2021, to the 3 parties above", Agus said.

As for the details of the 11.9 percent stake, PT Pradipa Darpa Bangsa became the buyer with the largest share of 4.76 percent or equivalent to 358,530,900 shares.

For information, Multipolar is a company owned by the boss of Lippo Group, conglomerate Mochtar Riady engaged in professional, scientific, and technical activity services. Pt Pradipa Darpa Bangsa is a subsidiary of PT Aplikasi Karya Anak Bangsa aka Gojek.

Gojek owns 99.996 percent of PT Pradipa Darpa Bangsa. While the remaining 0.004 percent owned by PT Dompet Karya Anak Bangsa aka Gopay.

Gojek Co-CEO Andre Sulistyo is also known to hold the position of President Commissioner of PT Pradipa Darpa Bangsa. Hans Patuwo was the president and Thomas Kristian Husted was the director. Thread more Capital Ltd. then bought MPPA shares for 3.81 percent, equivalent to 286,824,700 shares.

Thread more Capital Ltd. is an investment company based in the Cayman Islands. Lastly, Panbridge Investment Ltd. bought 3.33 percent of MPPA shares, equivalent to 250,971,600 shares. Just like Threadmore Capital, Panbridge is also known to be an investment company based in the Cayman Islands.
