Add Patrol Personnel, Hutama Karya Ensures JORR'S Toll Road Operates Normal Post-demonstration

JAKARTA - Since the last few days, demonstrations that have occurred at a number of points in Jakarta have had quite an impact on the services of several toll roads, even causing temporary closures at a number of toll gates (GT).

However, PT Hutama Karya (Persero) (Hutama Karya) ensures that the Jakarta Outer Ring Road Section S (JORRS) Toll Road continues to operate normally without any toll gate closures.

As a form of anticipation, the Head of the Jakarta Regional Hutama Karya Untung Joko Ristyono said that his party had added patrol personnel and tightened security at several strategic points that could potentially be affected.

A number of these points are around the JORRS Toll Road and Tanjung Priok Access (ATP) which is alerted from morning to night to ensure that the flow of vehicles remains under control and the safety of road users is maintained.

"We ensure that the operation of the JORR'S Toll Road runs normally and traffic is relatively smooth. We focus on adding personnel to the main gate access. We take this step so that the safety and comfort of road users remains guaranteed," Untung said as quoted from his written statement, Tuesday, September 2.

He ensured that currently the JORR'S Toll Road could still be passed normally. The company urges all road users to remain careful, obey traffic signs and follow the directions of officers in the field and invite them to always prioritize mutual care.

"It should be remembered that the toll road is not just a transportation route, but a shared strategic asset that we must protect," he said.

Previously, the demonstration that took place on Friday, August 29 resulted in as many as seven toll gates on the Inner City Toll Road being burned.

Mass demonstrations entered the Cawang 'Tomang+Pluit Toll Road through several accesses, namely around the Kuningan, Semanggi and Senayan areas.

Selain itu, fasilitas pelayanan jalan tol lain juga dirusak oleh massa, yakni lebih dari 20 unit water barrier, rubber cone, Median Concrete Barrier (MCB), CCTV jalan tol dan sarana pendukung jalan tol lainnya.
