This development follows the ceremony for the start of eVitara production at Maruti Suzuki's Hansalpur facility on August 26, which was unveiled by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. On that occasion, the Prime Minister praised Maruti Suzuki and acknowledged the company's contribution to positioning India as a global hub for advanced manufacturing.

As is known, eVitara is produced exclusively at Maruti Suzuki's Gujarat factory, which will serve as a global production center for the model. The company has confirmed that the "Indian Create" eVitara will eventually be exported to more than 100 countries around the world while it is also offered to customers in the domestic market. It positioned India at Suzuki's global EV strategy center.

Maruti Suzuki India's CEO Limited Hisashi Takeuchi said the start of e Vitara's exports to Europe was indeed a proud and decisive moment for the company. To please customers in more than 100 countries, products must be truly world-class in terms of technology, design, security, and performance.

Built on a new all-new electric vehicle (EV) platform, HEARTECT-e, e VITARA features a design that combines a sense of advanced technology and power. We believe that with a agile and sharp driving experience, it will please customers in Europe," he said, quoted from Rushlane's website, Tuesday, September 2.

First previewed at Milan, Italy, and then exhibited at Bharat Mobility Global Expo in New Delhi, eVitara represented Suzuki's entry into the global EV space. Built on a dedicated HEARTECT-e architecture, the SUV is designed for efficiency, security, and performance. Its style reflects the fusion of futuristic design and rough SUV proportions, targeting city commuters and family buyers.

Suzuki eVitara is expected to come with several options of battery packages serving a variety of markets. Equipped with advanced security features, connected technology, and fast charging capabilities, it aims to meet European standards of tightness while offering practicality for Indian conditions. With a wide cabin, premium interior, and focusing on sustainability, SUVs seek to establish itself as mainstream EV options.

This model is also confirmed to be present in Indonesia early next year, and will most likely appear at the IIMS 2026 event which will take place in February.
