President Prabowo Scheduled To Visit Victim's Family Of Makassar Riots

JAKARTA - Social Minister Saifullah Yusuf revealed that President Prabowo Subianto is scheduled to visit the families of victims of the demonstrations that turned violent in Makassar, South Sulawesi.

"I heard the President will visit the families of the victims in Makassar," said the man familiarly known as Gus Ipul at the Presidential Palace Complex, Jakarta, Monday, September 2.

However, Gus Ipul could not confirm when the Head of State would depart for Makassar. The agenda is still being adjusted to the President's schedule.

"Perhaps it's still being adjusted to the President's agenda, but the plan is there. There may be further explanation later," he said.

Gus Ipul said that President Prabowo is taking the victims' concerns seriously, both those undergoing treatment and the families of those who died.

He emphasized that this attention is not only being given to victims in Jakarta, but also in various regions.

"He has very serious concerns and is paying attention, and he will certainly follow up on how to help the victims, both at the government and community levels," he said.

According to him, the assistance provided will be tailored to the needs of each victim based on the results of the data collection and assessment. This assistance can include school fees, home repairs, and compensation for the victim's family.

"What is clear is that this is a direct concern from the President, so it's the President's direct attention, the President's direct attention. Of course, the ministers will adjust it according to their respective duties and functions," said Gus Ipul.
