Shell And BP Fuel Is Still Rare, Deputy Minister Of Energy And Mineral Resources: Already Assigned To The Director General Of Oil And Gas
JAKARTA - Deputy Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) Yuliot Tanjung said he would coordinate with the Director General of Oil and Gas regarding the scarcity of fuel oil (BBM) stocks at the private Public Fuel Filling Station (SPBU).
The stock of fuel in a number of private gas stations such as Shell and BP is still empty today.
"I checked with the Directorate General of Oil and Gas first. Because it was assigned, because the Director General was already there, all of that was coordinated by the Directorate General of Oil and Gas," said Yuliot when met at the Office of the Coordinating Ministry for Food, Jakarta, Monday, September 1.
Yuliot explained that along with the assignment given by the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Bahlil Lahadalia to the Director General of Oil and Gas to handle fuel supply arrangements, it was then decided by the Director General of Oil and Gas.
"Because it was assigned by the Director General of Oil and Gas to complete it," he said.
Previously, Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) Bahlil Lahadalia dismissed an issue that said that the government did not grant fuel import permits for private gas stations.
For your information, currently a number of private gas stations are experiencing stock vacancies for several types of fuel. According to Bahlil, the government has provided a fairly large allocation of fuel import quotas for 2025, which is 100 percentplus 10 percent of the 2024 quota.

"The allocation is quite large, you know. 100 percent quota in 2024 plus 10 percent," Bahlil told the media crew, Friday, August 29.
He gave an example, if company A gets a quota of 1 million in 2024, then in 2025 the company will get an import permit of 1.1 million.
For this reason, Bahlil invites private gas stations that run out of fuel stock to take stock from the state-owned oil and gas company, Pertamina.
According to him, Pertamina's stock of fuel is still large, considering that the company has a refinery operated by the Pertamina International Refinery (KPI).
On the other hand, as a stakeholder, he continued, the government also needs to maintain the balance of commodity import balances.
"If we import our quota, what about it? We take care of the state, not companies per company," said Bahlil.
