Manchester United Reaches Agreement for Senne Lammens from Royal Antwerp

JAKARTA - Manchester United has reached an agreement with Royal Antwerp for the transfer of goalkeeper Senne Lammens.

The 23-year-old, according to ESPN, will move to Old Trafford for a fee of 21 million euros (approximately IDR403 billion) plus bonuses.

The young Belgian international will travel to Manchester and sign a five-year contract after undergoing a medical.

Lammens' arrival does not mean Andre Onana or Altay Bayindir will leave before the transfer deadline.

Manchester United already has 39-year-old Tom Heaton as part of their senior goalkeeping team.

Galatasaray explored a deal for Onana over the weekend after failing to sign Manchester City goalkeeper Ederson, who apparently opted to join Fenerbahce.

Galatasaray has also shown interest in Diogo Costa and Yann Sommer. They remain eager to recruit a goalkeeper to strengthen their squad ahead of their return to the Champions League.

Onana stated on Sunday, August 31, 2025, that he has no plans to leave before the transfer window closes and wants to stay at Old Trafford to fight for his place.

However, Manchester United will listen to reasonable offers for the 29-year-old, and Galatasaray could still make a last-minute bid.

Meanwhile, Manchester United is also monitoring the situation of Aston Villa's Emiliano Martinez. A formal proposal has not yet been made, but talks are ongoing.

It is unclear whether the Red Devils are looking to bring in two new goalkeepers at once. If so, the exit door for Onana is clearly wide open.
